Helsinki Photo Festival call is open now for 2019
Helsinki Photo Festival invites all artists and photographers from all over the world to submit their work(s) for this year’s festival theme Anarchy. We aim to select +30 artists works to exhibit in solo- and group exhibitions during the festival period, July 5th-September 9th 2019. The exhibitions will take place in historic warehouses, libraries, parks and waterfront areas in Helsinki. It will also include pop-up galleries at numerous cultural events around the city. All selected photographers have the great opportunity for being promoted to a broad, dedicated audience, critics and curators at the newest photo festival in Northern Europe. Helsinki Photo Festival connects through spatial design various forms of photographic art and other visual media. The photo festival showcases in a period of nine weeks the innovative image of today in the metropolitan surroundings of Helsinki. The program includes artist-talks, workshops, seminars, photo walks, outdoor photo installations inviting residents, tourists and all photo enthusiasts of any age. All outdoor exhibitions can be enjoyed at any time of the day, free of charge!
Helsinki Photo Festival ry is a non-profit association, created to disseminate information about photography and visual media and to attract and maintain interest in them in Finland and internationally by presenting, developing and promoting these forms of art.
