We have received 309 applications from 47 countries. Helsinki Photo Festival is proud to announce 80 shortlisted candidates who will move further into the second round of voting. List see below.
The next step for the jury will be to select the best 40 authors, and 10 Nordic artists, whose photos will be curated and exhibited at the festival from July 7-October 2, 2022.
Together with the jury we thank all the participants for their efforts and breathtaking submissions. It was quite a lot of work to review all submissions to decide who will proceed. Those of you who have not made it any further we encourage to apply next year. Our next open call theme we will release December 2022.
