Helsinki Photo Festival and Hanaholmen – Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre are organizing a seminar on Friday 27 August with focus on Nordic Photography. The seminar program includes presentations by distinguished visual artists, curators, photography teachers, authors and editors.

The seminar is open to everyone. The language of the seminar is English.

NORDIC VILLAGE

During the Helsinki Photo Festival, the Art Park at Hanaholmen will host the Nordic Village, a talent platform fostered by Helsinki Photo Festival to support emerging Nordic artists. A Nordic photo exhibition will take place outdoors showcasing a group exposé of 15 Nordic photographers and a solo exhibition.

A Nordic seminar with experts in the photographic field from Iceland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark and Finland will be organised on August 27, 2021. Nordic Village is a talent platform fostered by Helsinki Photo Festival to support emerging Nordic photographers. The platform exhibits visual artists from the countries of the north to a broad audience in Finland and internationally. The program includes educational activities with experts and artists from the Nordics.

Nordic Village is supported by all Nordic embassies and the Nordic Culture Fund.

Hanaholmen – Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre is hosting the Nordic Village, a talent platform fostered by Helsinki Photo Festival to support emerging Nordic artists to present their works to a broad audience.

Hanaholmen – the Swedish-Finnish Cultural Centre works to develop co-operation between the countries in all areas of society.

Hanaholmen organizes conferences, seminars, and dialogues in Finland and in Sweden. Hanaholmen also operates long-standing projects, as well as shows art, arranges courses and arranges educational and cultural events. Hanaholmen is also a completely renovated conference centre with modern spaces, a high-class restaurant, and a hotel with sea views. The building is well organised and filled with inspiring contemporary art from Sweden and Finland. Spaces are fresh and functional with modern technology and all features under the same roof.
