Event Details
Helsinki Photo Festival is curating a digital photographic art exhibition, a concept not yet explored in Finland, for their third edition of their international visual arts event, Helsinki Photo Festival 2020 (July 7-30 September). The exhibition with 30 multimedia works is organized in collaboration with JCDecaux, the number one advertising company in the world, from July 7-31, 2020.
The exhibition will feature images of international and Nordic artists whose photographic works won the festival’s annual open call competition in a theme of Trust. The content has been selected by an international jury of arts professionals who identified the +50 most relevant artists out of more than 300 participants from 5 continents. The show will take over digital billboards installed at bus, train and tram stops, from the morning to the evening time, in downtown Helsinki on streets such as Aleksanterinkatu, Mikonkatu, Kaivokatu, Kaisaniemi, Kauppatori, Lasipalatsi, the Helsinki Central Station and many more. A general ad will also power the festival exhibitions and events throughout the whole metropolitan area of Helsinki in the month of July.
About Helsinki Photo Festival: Helsinki Photo Festival is a non-profit association and a cultural event happening in the metropolitan area of Helsinki, pushing the boundaries of how one explores and experiences photography by giving the audience an opportunity to view the work in the public sphere. The festival program includes exhibitions, artist talks, workshops, seminars, portfolio reviews and photo walks.
