Event Details

Helsinki Photo Festival is pleased to announce solo exhibition Orphans of the Forest featuring works of Indonesian photographer Dilla Djalil Daniel who is dealing with the environmental issues caused by land exploitation, narrating the stories of human and non-human lives afflicted by the actions of mankind. The selected images of orangutans are saturated with love, raising empathetic feelings towards the animals and triggering thoughts concerning our environmental actions. The exhibition provides an impressive visual insight into the issues facing animals and the dedicated individuals that care about their welfare and conservation prospects.

“Especially peaceful and touching example of people trying to make a difference.” – The Guardian
