Located in northern Helsinki is the most versatile sports and cultural complex Tapanila Urheilukeskus. Famed for it’s largest offering of all sorts of indoor sporting opportunities from archery, billiard, climbing, dancing, floor ball, library, music school for kids to yoga it is visited by over a million sport enthusiasts annually. Now for the first time, photography exhibitions are presented during the summertime from July 4-August 21 in the cafeteria and nearby facilities. Helsinki Photo Festival has joined with a popup exhibition with 7 artists from the open call Believe. Other exhibitions include Finnish photographer’s Jussi Hellsten project Sparks Came Out Of The Water and performance images from the great contemporary circus ensemble Race Horse Company.
The exhibiting artists from Helsinki Photo Festival include works from Zsófia Pályi (HU), Lisa Lindqvist Liljedahl (SE), Elena Helfrecht (DE), Fernando Montiel Klint (MX), Vaste Programme (IT), Tomasz Kawecki (PL) and Hannah Kiviranta (CA).
