Meet the Shortlisted entrants at Helsinki Photo Festival 2023
We have received a record number of submissions, 462 from 68 countries. For our small jury, it was quite a lot of work to review all submissions to decide who will proceed.
We now proudly present the 144 shortlisted, who will move further into the second round of voting. The next step for the jury will be to select the best 40 authors, and 10 Nordic artists, whose photos will be curated and exhibited at the festival from August 4-October 30, 2023.
We hope during this week we will be able to announce the final winners! Together with the jury, we thank all participants for their efforts and breathtaking, touching and critically thinking submissions.
For those of you who have not made it any further, we encourage you to apply for next year’s edition. We will release our next open-call theme in December 2023.
