KAKHANOVICH
From Belarus. Lives and works in Warsaw, Poland.
Alena Kakhanovich is a photographer and visual artist. She was born and raised in Minsk, Belarus. She graduated from the Belarusian State University, Faculty of Radiophysics and Electronics in 2008 and finished the Academy of Photography in Warsaw in 2016. Currently, she lives and works in Warsaw (Poland).
Her work has been featured in numerous exhibitions and international festivals, including the Helsinki Photo Festival in Finland, Kolga Photo Award in Tbilisi (Georgia), Month of Photography in Krakow (Poland). Moreover, she has exhibited her photographs in important art spaces such as the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Art (Japan), Center for Contemporary Art (Belarus) and several galleries in Europe. Alena’s works are in the collection at the Kiyosato Museum of Photographic Art in Japan.
Her photos focus is on psychology, people and environment relationships. She is also interested in both a memory topic and mythology in photography.
